This aarti is sung in praise of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the deity invoked at the beginning of all auspicious endeavors. It is recited daily in homes and temples, and especially during Ganesh Chaturthi (Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi). Wednesday is considered Ganesha's day. The aarti emphasizes His compassion and His power to fulfill the wishes of devotees.
