ವೈದಿಕ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಇತರ ಭಾವಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀರುತ್ತವೆ. ಕುಜ, ಗುರು ಮತ್ತು ಶನಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗಳಿವೆ.
"ದೃಷ್ಟಿ" ಎಂಬ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪದದ ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ "ನೋಟ" ಅಥವಾ "ದೃಷ್ಟಿ." ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಗ್ರಹ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ 7ನೇ ಭಾವವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತದೆ.
