Presided by Aditi, the mother of all gods and the infinite cosmic space. Punarvasu means "return of light" — the dawn after the storm of Ardra. Associated with the twin stars Castor and Pollux in Gemini.

Renewal and abundance. After the storm of Ardra comes the rainbow of Punarvasu — restoration, return to harmony, and infinite maternal generosity. Lord Rama was born under this Nakshatra.
