It is considered inauspicious for commencing new material ventures. A significant observance is Pitru Tarpan, where water and sesame seeds are offered to ancestors for their peace and liberation.

This day is highly auspicious for starting new studies, signing contracts, business transactions, and intellectual pursuits. It is generally favorable for communication, writing, and travel. Devotees often worship Lord Vishnu or Vithoba on Wednesdays, seeking wisdom, prosperity, and success in endeavors. Offering green gram or performing Vishnu Sahasranama recitation are common practices for blessings.
