Saturday is ruled by Shani (Saturn), representing discipline, karma, and longevity. Its character is serious, patient, and karmic, influencing hard work and justice. This day is auspicious for long-term planning, spiritual discipline, and charitable acts. It is generally favorable for activities requiring patience and perseverance, but often considered less auspicious for starting new ventures or travel. Devotees worship Lord Shani to mitigate challenging influences like Sade Sati, often reciting the Hanuman Chalisa for protection and strength. Fasting and offering black sesame seeds or oil are common observances.
