अनन्त चतुर्दशी विष्णु के अनन्त (अनन्तशेष पर विराजमान) रूप को समर्पित है। महाभारत में कृष्ण ने युधिष्ठिर को अनन्त व्रत कथा सुनाई। यह गणेश चतुर्थी के दसवें दिन गणेश विसर्जन का भी दिन है।
